For a brief history stay on this page.

In the first half of 2022 SPIN focused on SPIN DAY – the only platform dedicated to Power-to-X that brings together all relevant players from science, industry, politics, administration and civil society. The event on June 2022 was opened by Federal Environment and Energy Minister Simonetta Sommaruga and Government Councillor of the Canton of Zurich Carmen Walker Späh . Top international speakers, workshops and more than plenty of time for networking made this a unique event that you don’t want to have missed.

Our vision

A „Power-to-X Declaration“ was drafted, which is intended to lay the foundation for further collaboration. This was assessed at the SPIN DAY all attendees and supported by a majority of 95% in the online survey. After SPIN DAY the workshop results were processed and are now reflected in the SPIN Strategy.

In summer 2022 a strategic alliance was entered with Swissmem, the leading Association in Switzerland in the Machine, Electro and Metal Industry, recently also called Tech-Industrie (see also Tecindustry), in order to jointly support and push forward the Power-to-X Technologies and Applications.

In September 2022 an extraordinary general assembly was hold to elect a new board and presidium, with the aim to have a broad coverage in Politics, Science, Industry and Customers.

Since 2023 the new Board with the Managing Directors is moving SPIN forward. The SPIN Strategy was elaborated and approved; a number of events are taking place, like SPIN Webinars, events for members and interested parties and regular exchange with politicians and administration. Furthermore a cooperation with the Parliamentary Group Hydrogen/Power-to-X was established.

In August 2023 a Catalogue of Requirements was published (currently only in German).
